About our Centre
The Taunton Centre caters for students in Years 10 and 11 and is based in Bridgwater and Taunton College. All students follow Personalised Learning Programmes, studying for GCSE and vocational qualifications. The Centre's job is to educate the whole student in readiness for adult life. To do this we have as few rules as possible and build on each student's success. In partnership with parents/carers and the college we give students the highest levels of support in reaching their personal best in all areas.
What our pupils say
"I behave better here than when I was in school"
"I can work on my own, I feel safe here"
"The teachers are awesome!"
"The centre is relaxed, everyone's friendly"
"It's better than school because there's less students and the teachers strive to help students rather than get a pay cheque"
What our parents say
"The college gives empathy and they focus on the positive, it comes across that every student matters to the centre. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sharon and Rob for all their support regarding our grandson and our family"
"My son only began this centre in May and has been made to feel accepted and not judged in any way. His needs are met to a standard that no mainstream school could do due to lack of resources and ignorance. I strongly believe my son will succeed in year 11 and complete his GCSEs"
"I would like to thank you all for your good work and helping G not giving up on education"
"We would like to thank you all for all of your input into helping our son achieve. The only thing is... you were SO good that he would rather learn with you than at a mainstream school!"
"Lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble! My son only took positives away with him. Fantastic Centre!"
