Home Learning

Welcome to our Home Learning Zone.

This is where we will set activities for you to complete at home, together with providing the necessary support and guidance you may require.

Key Stage 4 English revision.

Many of the Y11's at Holway access Senca learning; it's a free online resource that provides revision questions and information around each subject area and by exam board. This can be used to revise for English language and literature, Maths and Science

https://www.senecalearning.com/

Students just need to create a login for themselves with an e-mail address and a password and then choose their subjects (making sure they have the right exam board)

Students can also access Mr Bruff's channel on You Tube for additional English language and literature support, or The English Teacher (You Tube Channel provided by GCSE Tuition Kit) or BBC Bitesize.

Home Learning Content from The STEM team at SPTS

  • We’ve launched a new page on our website (www.stem.org.uk/home-learning) to provide free content and resources for home learning. The content will be updated weekly with new activities and covers primary and secondary and across maths, science, computing and D&T.
  • We are curating a selection of flexible projects to support teachers looking after children who are still attending school (www.stem.org.uk/in-school-activities)
  • Our STEM education specialists are now responding to the Live Chat function on our website, so teachers, parents and others can get immediate advice on their questions and needs. We had over 100 chats with teachers and other educators yesterday .
  • We are active on Twitter, Facebook and other social media, including #ScienceatHome (used by Explorify, STEM Learning. Primary Science Teaching Trust, Sanger etc) which encourages parents of primary pupils to get active in science and share their home learning projects and activities.
