Online Learning and Bespoke

Students may need a more tailored timetable, this will include a bespoke time table which can offer the opportunity to access our online learning provision.    Students are provided with a chromebook to enable them to access the lessons.  They have lessons taught by specialists in Science, Maths, English, World Studies and Art, the Teacher is online in real time, which enables students to communicate and work with the class.  We use Google classroom, which is a familiar platform for students.

Students are able to do this as a stand-alone programme, whilst others will have a hybrid package where they are able to have the online learning  as part of a package that incorporates the other 2 pathways.  Students may also have opportunities to participate in OE or Sport or may access other Alternative provision and individual tutoring in the home.  All online students have face to face visits as part of the package, which enables TDPC to maintain contact with students and build relationships.

We always encourage students to participate and our goal is to be able to offer increased time in a Centre as students are able to re-engage with their learning, or support a transition back into mainstream school, where appropriate.
